Cold Chain

Cold Storage Alternative to Los Angeles
If it is dry, frozen or fresh we have the storage and distribution capabilities for any operation. Our drayage rates from the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are essentially the same as most LA based cold storages. The key to Del Norte, however, is the quality environment your product is maintained in. Our ethylene suppression system prevents one product impacting another. Repack
Del Norte Distribution can handle a variety of produce re-coopering needs. We can sort and repack produce with quality problems. We provide onsite 3rd party quality assessments of the produce. We repalletize (change-out broken pallets) or change out chep pallets. We have a variety of equipment handling capabilities including squeeze forklifts, slipsheet forklifts and pallet inverters. Should you have a rejected load we can provide insurance company salvage operations (i.e., re-coopering loads), selling distressed product to wholesale buyers and processors. We have bagging equipment on-site and can provide cost-effective bagging of produce. We have box making capabilities to produce your label into a retail friendly pack.
PurFresh Ozonation and Food Safety System
Del Norte is proud to have teamed with PurFresh on providing ozonation in our facility. The system suppresses ethylene production and inhibits the formation of bacteria and mold. The end result is a safer product with a longer shelf-life.
Trucking
We are an asset based trucking line. Unlike most carriers that haul bowling balls and then a load of peaches, our drivers know produce. We have scaled back the farming operation over the last few years which has open up availability of trucking equipment. Our on time delivery rating is un-matched.
