Cold Storage Alternative to Los Angeles
If it is dry, frozen, or fresh we have the storage and distribution capabilities for any operation. Our drayage rates from the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are essentially the same as most LA-based cold storages. The key to Del Norte, however, is the quality environment your product is maintained in. Our ethylene suppression system prevents one product from impacting another. Our pressure coolers can bring your product down to its ideal set point prior to storage; this is a huge advantage when your product needs field or fumigation heat taken out of the pallet's core. Custom Ripening and Quality Control
Del Norte's state-of-the-art ThermalTECH® ripening rooms have computer-controlled temperatures, humidity levels, and ventilation. Trained at UC Davis, our experienced Ripener delivers even consistent color to bananas and plantains and can custom ripen avocados, too. We can de-green citrus and tomatoes just in time to market for optimal pricing.
You are welcome to keep your own Quality Control person on site or we can do it for you! As a 3PL warehouse, we've handled a wide variety of commodities and have experienced personnel that can report back to you and your growers areas that can be improved.

TWIC Transloading Assistance
We are prepared to assist you with the problems associated with access to the Port of Hueneme. We can pick up your load at the port and transload the product into your trailer. Our facility is fully refrigerated and located just one mile from the US 101.
